Part One. No. 16 Stationary, Le Treport: June 1915-October 1916 -- Part Two. No. 32 Stationary, Wimereux: October 1916-January 1918 -- Part Three: No. 46 Stationary, Etaples: January 1918 - March 1919. In April 1915, Dorothea Crewdson, a newly trained Red Cross nurse, and her best friend Christie, received instructions to leave for Le Treport in northern France. Filled with excitement at the prospect of this great adventure, she began writing a diary. Over the next four years Dorothea would witness and record some of the worst horror of the Great War, yet somehow she maintained her optimism, curiosity and high spirits throughout. The pages of her diary sparkle with warmth and humour whether she is describing the frustrations of life on the ward, the pleasure of a beautiful sunset, flirtations with the doctors, or a trip 'joyriding' in the countryside on one of her precious days off. By turns intimate, gossipy, charming and moving, these extraordinarily evocative diaries offer a rare glimpse of the heroic work of a nurse in the First World War.

It’s the one and only feisty furball Garfield—the corpulent cat with an attitude second only to his appetite. So whether he’s relishing the fall season (the crinkle of autumn’s rustling leaves sounds remarkably like potato chips) or sharpening his claws (quite handy for scratching through a plastic cheese wrapper), rest assured that where Garfield goes, fun—and food—are fast to follow! The GARFIELD CLASSICS series collects the early years of the GARFIELD comic strip in a larger, full-color format. Garfield may have gone through a few changes, but one thing has stayed the same: his enormous appetite for food and fun. So laugh along with the classic cat, because classics are always in style.

Alone on this tiny ship that's been cobbled together by every government and space agency on the planet and hurled into the depths of space, it's up to him to conquer an extinction-level threat to our species.
Translation of: Qur'an. The Qur'an is the central religious text of Islam.

Muslims around the world believe it to be the literal word of God as revealed to the Prophet Muhammed by the angel Gabriel nearly fourteen hundred years ago.

The 114 chapters of the Qur'an contain the narratives, moral principles, and tenets central to Islamic belief.

In addition to its religious significance, the Qur'an is widely believed to be the finest work of Arabic literature. Abdullah Yusuf Ali's English language edition is one of the most esteemed and faithful to the original text.

Marybeth Pickett gets the call she has always dreaded: Her husband, Joe, is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head.

Joe was found in his pickup at Antler Creek Junction, a crossroads connecting three ranches. Each road leading to a dangerous family. Each family with a different bone to pick with the local game warden. Marybeth and the new sheriff assume that Joe was ambushed by one of the families, but they have no idea which one, since Joe didn't say where he was going or why.

With Joe unconscious and fighting for his life with Marybeth at his side, Sheridan, April, and Lucy split up and investigate each of families to uncover the truth of what happened to their father, before it's too late.

Canadian author. An investigative journalist reckons with the cost of her own—and the culture-at-large’s—obliviousness.

Over the last thirty years, Canadians have been forced to face their country’s genocidal attempt to destroy its Indigenous populations through segregation, poverty, coerced labour, and infectious diseases. Few have read the statements of claim, academic literature, or multi-volume commission reports setting out exactly what we stole and who we hurt (and how); and the policies and decisions which harmed generations of Indigenous people are still not broadly known.

In Oblivious, investigative journalist Elaine Dewar exposes the governmental and psychological machinery that allowed this to continue for so long. The granddaughter of settlers saved during their first Prairie winter by the generosity of Indigenous neighbours, Dewar explores how even well-meaning Canadians who glimpsed what was being done did nothing to stop it. In the process, she uncovers further evidence of crimes against Indigenous people, including unethical and cruel scientific experiments, a segregated and woefully inadequate health care system, and a callous indifference to Indigenous well-being that has almost entirely eroded the sense of trust true reconciliation must be based on.

Part memoir, part investigation, Oblivious tells the story of a Jewish girl from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who grew up in a society so segregated—its Indigenous people consigned to an alternate universe—that she, like so many of us, failed to notice their plight for decades.
